Amazon’s Daily Deal Service Comes to London

The e-commerce giant, Amazon has launched a new daily deal service in the UK, starting specifically with London. AmazonLocal offers companies another facility for companies to sell discounted goods and services to subscribers.

Previously it was only available on Amazon.com, the American branch of the website, across the majority of the country. The most prominent offerings are flying lessons, yoga and cakes, but with more coverage, more deals will come.

As e-commerce and marketing websites prepare strategies for Christmas, the year’s biggest season, AmazonLocal will inevitably be aiming to be a household name alongside Groupon and LivingSocial.

Whether the daily deal website bubble has burst, among reports of Groupon executives leaving the company, remains to be seen.
