According to Google’s Ian Carrington, 2009 was actually the year of mobile, but in 2011 we know its here. Some interesting stats – the most frequently used time and place for mobile search is at home in the evenings or weekends. Most businesses now see the importance of mobile, but only 24% are measuring m-traffic. Mobile search CTR’s are 2.7 times higher according to Efficient Frontier. And some App facts – most apps are purchased at a price of under $2, except for Blackberry App World where its higher. 64% of revenue from the 100 most successful apps come from one-off purchases. Cheers, Ian
